Nina Tsy (b. 1991) holds a Master’s degree from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. With a background in craft and architecture, she works in the borderland between space, material, and human presence. Her practice springs from a desire to understand what occurs when space loses its fixed form and the human being steps into the in-between — where relationships, memories, and narratives arise through movement.

Working with dust, paper, clay, light, and stone as bodily extensions, Tsy explores how materials can carry both individual and collective traces. Her projects often take root in the unresolved and the nearly invisible: spaces that dissolve, identities that are continuously negotiated, and landscapes that hold voices that have slipped into the shadows of history.

Alongside her artistic work, Tsy is the founder and owner of the jewelry brand UVÆR AS and Keramikkfamilien AS. She holds several positions within the cultural sector, including Chair of Alta Art Association and Board Member of the Northern Norwegian Art Centre, and works actively across the arts and cultural landscape of Northern Norway, fostering interdisciplinary and regional collaboration.

As part of her commitment to art education and cultural engagement, Tsy leads workshops and courses that invite people of all ages to experience and participate in activities related to visual art. Through this work, she creates accessible spaces for creativity, exploration, and artistic expression.

Tsy is also part of the architectural team at Haldde Arkitekter, where she contributes to spatial design processes informed by her material- and research-driven artistic approach. At the same time, she continues to develop her own artistic practice, seeking out programs and contexts that challenge and expand her work.
